Lauren began dancing at age five at Riley’s Dance Center in Irving, TX, where she studied classical ballet under Jacquelyn Ralls Forcher. She studied with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy summer intensive and the Fort Worth School of Ballet programs.

After competing with Kids to Go! and then Forcher’s Dance Force for several years, she studied at various studios throughout the Metroplex. Lauren landed at Rhythm Nation Studios, where she stayed for four years and began teaching at the age of 15. She performed with their professional company as a featured dancer, vocal soloist, and choreographer at venues such as Six Flags Over Texas and local festivals. At 18, Lauren joined Momentum Dance Company, where she performed in the corps de ballet.

Lauren graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a BA in Spanish in 2008, and an MA in Linguistics in 2010 (Whoop!). Lauren was a member of, and also served as an officer of, the Texas A&M Dance Arts Society, which allowed her to continue to perform and to develop her choreography skills. While at school, Lauren worked full time at Expressions Dance and Music Studios. She became the Artistic Director of Competitive Dance for four of her five years there. In 2013, Lauren joined Wylie’s Red Door Dance Academy as a full-time dance instructor; she currently teaches ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She is now Artistic Director of Company InspiRED and Director of the Leveled Classes Program. In 2019, she choreographed and directed the first annual production of “A Red Door Nutcracker.”

Lauren and her husband, David, live in Wylie with their daughter, Luna.
